Senior Electrical Engineer 📍 Warwick, UK | 💰 Up to £70,000 | Permanent | New Role

The Opportunity

A globally operating manufacturer of precision engineered components is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer ready to take the next step in their career. Based at their Warwick facility, this is a newly created role that offers genuine leadership responsibility — taking charge of a small development team while staying close to the technical work you enjoy.

If you're around 10-15 years into your career, you've been delivering strong technical results and you're ready to formalise your leadership experience, this could be exactly the right move. You'll be developing advanced instrumentation products for heavy vehicle and off-road environments, working across construction, agriculture, mining, and commercial vehicles — products that reach global markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a small team of development engineers, supporting their growth while maintaining your own technical involvement
  • Take ownership of electronics design projects from initial concept and architecture through to validation and production launch
  • Design precision instrumentation products for harsh heavy-vehicle and off-road environments
  • Contribute to technical direction and become a go-to authority on measurement and electronics within the business
  • Drive innovation in signal processing, analog design, and system robustness
  • Work within automotive-grade development processes including APQP, DFMEA/PFMEA, and DV/PV validation
  • Collaborate with global OEMs and partners on integration, field validation, and performance optimisation
  • Design for extreme environments: wide temperature ranges, high vibration, shock, EMI/EMC, and chemical exposure

What You'll Bring

  • Around 10-15 years of hands-on electrical or electronics engineering experience
  • Background in automotive, heavy vehicle, industrial, or off-road equipment sectors
  • Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • Solid experience in analog and mixed-signal circuit design
  • Some exposure to electronics design from concept through to production — you don't need to have done it all, but you'll have been involved
  • Some experience leading or mentoring others — you're ready to formalise this in a team lead capacity
  • Familiarity with automotive quality processes: APQP, DFMEA/PFMEA, IATF 16949
  • Hands-on PCB design and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience designing for harsh environments: temperature extremes, vibration, EMI/EMC, and industrial exposure
  • Embedded firmware (C/C++) and automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN) — desirable

What's On Offer

  • Up to £70,000 per annum
  • 25 days holiday annually
  • Company pension scheme
  • Life assurance
  • Casual, energetic workplace
  • Global product impact across multiple markets
