About our client

Our client is a successful, well established construction business in Warwickshire with a strong reputation for quality and looking after their clients long after a project is handed over. They are looking for a Construction Administrator to join their office team on a permanent basis, covering document control and customer care.

The office is easily commutable from Warwick, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth, Stratford-upon-Avon, Coventry, Southam, Banbury and the surrounding areas.

Why this role is different

No two days are the same. As Construction Administrator, your time is split between document control and customer care, supporting several projects at once. One minute you’ll be making sure the right people have the latest drawings, the next you’ll be organising a repair visit for a client. If you like being busy and you’re the person who keeps everything on track, you’ll enjoy this role.

You don’t need construction experience. What matters most is being organised, staying calm when things get busy and being able to juggle several things at once. Full training is given on the construction side.

The role

Document Control

  • Keeping drawings, documents and project records organised, up to date and easy to find
  • Sending out drawings and updated versions to subcontractors, suppliers and the internal team
  • Supporting the project team with scanning, printing and paperwork for meetings and site
  • Keeping a written record of key decisions and agreements
  • Gathering handover documents from subcontractors and putting together the final project files

Customer Care

  • Acting as the first point of contact when clients report an issue after a project is complete
  • Keeping clients updated on what happens next and when
  • Working out which subcontractor needs to attend and arranging the visit with both sides
  • Following up by phone and email until each issue is resolved and signed off
  • Keeping customer care records and schedules accurate and up to date
  • Building good working relationships with clients and subcontractors

About you

  • Experience as a Construction Administrator, Document Controller, Customer Care Administrator, Office Administrator or in a similar role
  • Highly organised and comfortable managing several deadlines at once
  • Confident on the phone and by email, and happy to chase people politely until things get done
  • A strong eye for detail and accurate record keeping
  • Good with Excel, Word and Outlook, and quick to pick up new systems
  • Construction, property, facilities or building services experience is a bonus but not essential
